Dean, who grew up on a farm in the King Country, is a Civil Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. His background spans water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater systems, tunnelling, pipe jacking, major earthworks and reinforced concrete structures.
Dean also has extensive experience in major rail infrastructure, having spent close to a decade working on London’s Crossrail programme. His work included major station and portal construction, tunnelling-related works, deep excavations, buried utilities and complex structural works in challenging urban environments.
He has worked across both contractor and client-side environments, with experience covering projects from tender development and methodology planning through construction, commissioning and handover. Dean brings strong technical, commercial and project leadership experience, together with a practical approach to managing complex construction challenges.
