Health and safety policy

MAP Projects Limited is committed to providing a safe workplace for all people that work at or visit our workplace(s).

Our focus is on sustainable, continuous improvement toward our health, safety and environmental performance through leadership, attitude and behaviour change.

We believe that:

  • No business objective will take priority over health and safety
  • All incidents are preventable
  • Our Management Team(s) are accountable for, and we all have responsibility for health and safety
  • All personnel have the responsibility to stop any job they believe is unsafe or cannot be continued in a safe manner

Our Objectives are:

  • To create the “MAP” book – Safety booklet specific for MAP employees
  • To have all safety forms evolve into electronic documents
  • To create 80 Safe Operating Procedures for minor and major plants
  • To create a robust in house competency assessment scheme for all Employees

To achieve this, we will:

  • Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and associated Regulations and codes of practice, guidelines and standards
  • Have a designated health and safety manager to ensure that there is appropriate support and resourcing for health and safety management initiatives in the workplace
  • Provide an induction to all employees, sub-contractors and visitors
  • Proactively identify hazards and take all steps so far as reasonably practicable to eliminate or minimise harm
  • Accurately report, record, investigate and learn from all incidents and near misses
  • Put procedures in place for dealing with emergencies that may arise
  • Provide employees health, safety and environmental training, education and supervision to maintain an understanding of health and safety relative to their position
  • Consult and actively promote full workforce participation on all health and safety matters
  • Support the safe and early return to work of injured employees
  • Review the health and safety processes annually
