Blair brings over 14 years of hands-on engineering experience to MAP, having worked as both a contractor and consultant for clients such as NZTA, Infrastructure Cook Islands, Tauranga City Council, Watercare Services, NZ Defence Force and Kiwirail. His expertise spans heavy civil, marine, transport, and three waters infrastructure, with deep technical knowledge of NZS3910 and alternative delivery models.
A Chartered Professional Engineer, Blair is known for his leadership and strategic thinking with a proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams. His commercial acumen and problem-solving skills have been instrumental in delivering high-value outcomes across both public and private sector projects. Blair’s recent work includes managing a Harbour Upgrade on an outer island in the Cook Islands (Atiu), leading transport and wastewater upgrades for Tauranga City Council, and delivering hydro refurbishment projects in Samoa.
